I am a native French speaker. I was born and raised right outside of Paris. I have always loved learning about different languages and cultures. This is why I decided to learn English and move to the United-States to go to college where I learned to teach my native language to people who, just like me, want to learn a new language.Ik als leerkracht
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Science of Education with a focus on French. During my years in college, I had many opportunities to teach in classrooms. I like teaching groups of students because it allows for different types of interactions. But I also gave one-on-one lessons which are more specific and tailored to the students' needs. I like teaching with real world material. Depending on my students, I can use news articles, books, videos, and music. I also like to give them the opportunity to practice their knowledge with conversations or short discussions, since the final goal of learning a language is communication. But I am a flexible teacher. I can adapt to my students' needs and preferences. Therefore, I can also give direct lessons on specific language features and help the students test their knowledge with exercises and quizzes.Mijn lesmateriaal

Cécilia is an absolute gem. she is very sweet and super patient. I cannot ask for a more suitable teacher. She articulates incredibly well, at a pace suited for me. I am certainly looking forward to future sessions with her and improving my conversation skills.

Cécilia is a great teacher and very patient when I don’t understand something. Her enthusiasm for teaching French really comes across; she explains things clearly, makes the lessons fun, and is fully engaged during the class. I am learning a lot from my conversation lessons and really enjoy them.
