Hi! I’m Atsuko.
I have experience teaching English to children, so I explain Japanese in simple and clear English.
I’m learning foreign languages too, so I understand the challenges.
Even small steps each day help—let’s do our best together! 🌻
I love travel and culture, and have visited 14 countries.
Recently, I went to the Philippines twice with my son to join a parent-child English language program. It was a great experience.
I did flamenco dance for years, but now I’m into Aikido, a traditional Japanese martial art.
I also enjoy studying languages.
I’d love to talk about your country and Japanese culture.
Feel free to contact me. I look forward to meeting you! 😊

🌸Lesson Style & Teaching Approach🌸
①For beginners who want to learn grammar and conversation using the GENKI textbook, I use slides with Romanized script to explain concepts clearly and make learning fun and easy to understand.
②For intermediate and advanced learners, I use news articles, pictures, and short videos as lesson materials. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to practice speaking and express your thoughts in Japanese naturally.
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes! The more you practice, the faster you’ll improve.
I will gently correct your mistakes and teach you more natural expressions to help you speak more fluently. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me anytime!

Lesson with Atsu-San are really enjoyable. In our survival japanese class we counted, practiced about asking questions about the family and asking questions at the store. Very useful because these are questions I'm bound to ask in every country I visit. Thank you very much

Great first lesson with Sue. She did not only have materials, but these were tailored to my needs and background. She was very patient and encouraging, and I liked that the lesson was focused both on the language itself and some aspects of Japanese culture.
Arigatoo gozaimasu!
