I'm kind and curious.
I like meeting people from different countries. I've been myself a foreign languages learner for a long time so I'm very familiar with this journey.
I worked a decade in the hospitality industry, mainly in the concierge/guest service department in France, England, Argentina and Australia before turning into a french teacher because it means a lot to me to guide foreigners to learn my mother tongue and help them attaining their goals (cultural, pro, expatriation) and express their full potential. I trained through the Alliance Française school.
I also have interests in different topics (reading, language learning, philosophy, traveling),

As a teacher, I am completely involved and dedicated in my student's learning path. I strive for concrete and practical results. I make it a point of honor to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere in my lessons. We always learn better in an enjoyable setting, right ?
I also try to get to know my students as best as I can so that I can provide lessons matching to their expectations.

There is no rule of thumb when it comes to teaching as it highly depends on the teacher and on the learner.
However, you can be sure that in my lessons, the atmosphere is relaxed, engaging and you'll learn a lot of things about french language and french culture.
That being said, there is also one thing that is super important, the "langage-learning journey" as I like to call it, does not end right after our lesson, you have to make the french language your friend to some extent, expose yourself to it a good amount of time to remain motivated and determined to reach your goals. Valentin is awesome! I've been doing weekly lessons with him for the last two years, and my French has improved phenomenally during this time. He's a very kind and patient teacher, tailors the lessons to my needs and interests (I'm a musician that travels to France for work and sometimes need to learn specialized vocabulary etc), and he is always happy to answer questions or provide further explanation when a concept eludes me. Truly one of the best teachers I've ever studied with, in any subject. I highly recommend him!

I already had more than 50 lessons with Valentin and he is the best teacher I have ever had!

J'aime toujours mes leçons avec Valentin ! Il crée un atmosphère très calme et détendu qui m'aide s'exprimer sans jugement. Il propose des sujets ou articles avant les leçons, mais me permet aussi de choisir n'importe quel sujet qui m'intéresse. Il note mes erreurs grammaticales pendant chaque leçon et m'envoie un document qui les liste. C'est vraiment utile et je réalise le progrès pas à pas !

Valentin is the best. After almost 150 lessons over the past year, my french has improved dramatically. Thanks to his help and guidance. Valentin is thoughtful and patient. Je profite toujours pendant mes conversations avec Valentin. Il est vrai excellent en posant des questions et en m’introduisant les phrases idiomatiques et les mots plus avancés. J’ai la sensation que je parle avec un ami que m’enseigne la langue plutôt qu’un professeur formel ou rigide. Ça me donne envie de continuer apprendre et parler avec Valentin dans une atmosphère très détendu et positive. Merci Valentin !

J’enchaîne plusieurs leçons avec Valentin depuis le début de mars et il m’aide énormément avec ma grammaire, ma confiance, et les expressions avancées. Il est toujours préparé, accueillant, et prêt de discuter une pléthore des thèmes. J’ai hâte de continuer avec lui et progresser pas à pas d’atteindre une très bonne niveau !
