Hi! My name is Rossanna and I’ve been a nomad for over 12 years, living and traveling across several continents - mostly the Americas, Africa, and Australia. I’m fluent in French (my native language), Spanish, and English, and I’ve taught students from all over the world for over 2 years. Beyond teaching, I’m also a filmmaker passionate about human connection, cultures, and storytelling. My goal is to help you feel confident and inspired while learning in a natural, enjoyable, and adapted way. I focus on real-life conversations and building confidence step by step. I adapt to each student’s goals and rhythm - whether you prefer structured lessons or a more intuitive flow. I’m patient, encouraging, and I create a safe space where you can make mistakes and enjoy learning. My lessons are flexible and based on your needs. We can focus on speaking, grammar, pronunciation, or mix everything depending on your goals and interests. I offer three types of lessons: French for Total Beginners (A1) - build a strong foundation and start speaking step by step. French Beyond the Basics (A2–B1) - become more confident and natural in everyday conversations. Conversational French (B1–C2) - improve fluency through real, meaningful conversations. Each class is personalized so you can progress at your own rhythm.

Rossanna is the instructor I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who wants to begin learning French from scratch, as I am currently doing. She creates an atmosphere where you immediately feel comfortable and confident, and every class is thoughtfully structured. You truly feel guided step by step through each topic in a clear and engaging way. What stands out most—beyond her warmth and clarity—is that you hardly notice how much progress you are making. Week after week, my French continues to improve naturally and steadily. Having taught for more than 22 years in language departments at various universities in the United States, I say this with full confidence: she is one of the most effective language instructors I have encountered. Rossanna is the best teacher I've had in my life on any subject. I mean that with all my heart. Each hour with her absolutely flies by. She has every personality quality you could want in a teacher - intelligent, interesting, open, fun, encouraging, and kind. Her after-class summaries and exercises are robust and very helpful. I've never enjoyed learning so much. I could be a C2 in french and would still take lessons with Rossanna.

I highly recommend Rossanna for French! I have been taking French lessons with her for a while now and she is an excellent teacher. She is incredibly encouraging and constantly focusing on the things I am doing well, while still stretching me outside my comfort zone - she is pretty much always stretching me outside my comfort zone. She is also very patient and willing to explain things over and over until I understand them. If you are looking for a French tutor, I don't think you're likely to find a better one.
