Born and raised in Hong Kong to Japanese parents, I grew up speaking both English and Japanese. At home I spoke Japanese to my parents and English to my siblings. This allowed me to become fluent in both languages. Growing up visiting Japan played a major role in my Japanese. Additionally, watching football and reading books on Japanese athletes helped improve my Japanese. I attended university in Kyoto, Japan.
In my free time I enjoy playing and watching sports, mainly football, and also working out. I'm also interested in many things including learning Portuguese and the guitar.Ik als leerkracht
I've taught children football in Cambodia, using both Japanese and English. As a teacher, I emphasize patience, and creating a fun learning environment. I believe that language learning should be fun and enjoyable. I'm also a lifelong learner, and have many interests, and can share the struggles of learning something new. I believe classes should be tailored to the student. Everyone is different and everyone has different interests. To make the student's learning easier, I believe in providing resources they may enjoy. The primary method for my teaching is a heavy emphasis on input (listening) of the target language (Japanese) and output (speaking in the language. Classes are about not being afraid to make mistakes, and practising putting together your thoughts to communicate with others. Listening resources will be provided outside class for some fun exposure, but it should not be stressful. I prioritize fun and think of ways to make it enjoyable.Mijn lesmateriaal

A perfectly bilingual teacher in Japanese and English, a rare quality I had never encountered before. Very dedicated, he pays close attention to the student’s well-being as well as their ability to follow the lesson, work on pronunciation and make steady progress. Extremely kind and supportive, he immediately puts you at ease. This was only my first lesson and certainly not the last! I have rarely felt so comfortable with a teacher. I highly recommend him 😊

Great tutor who tailors the lessons really nicely to my level of Japanese. Very useful post lesson summaries provided that help consolidate the learnings.

The lesson with Go Suzuki was very enjoyable. We discussed finance and investment, which was a very practical topic, and I learned many related words and expressions. The conversation was fun, and the one hour passed really quickly. I’m looking forward to my next lesson with Go Suzuki.
