Hello there, students! My name is Jimmy. I was born and raised in the Netherlands, and I’ve always been passionate about languages, cultures, and most importantly, people! I’m a TEFL-certified teacher, fluent in Dutch and English, and conversational in Spanish. This past year, I’ve been travelling the world while teaching, and for me there is nothing more incredible than exploring new places and connecting with people from all over the globe. And what’s the universal connection in all of this? Exactly, language. It opens doors to new experiences, friendships, and opportunities. When I’m not teaching, I Love to be active with sports or in nature and I also have a big passion for music =)

I firmly believe that the most important thing, when learning a language, is to be comfortable and at ease. I create a relaxed vibe where there is a lot of space for having fun and where you can be yourself. Learning doesn't always have to feel like hard work. As a TEFL-certified teacher, native Dutch speaker and full time human being, I adapt my lessons to your goals, pace, and interests. I work with complete beginners as well as more experienced learners. Maybe you’re planning a move to the Netherlands, have a Dutch partner, need to pass the inburgering exam, or are simply fascinated by the language. Whatever your reason, I’ll help you reach your goals.

Every human is different, and everyone has their own reason for wanting to learn a language. That’s why I fully adapt to your needs and wishes. In general, my lessons are fun and interactive, and I like to use music, humor, and videos to keep you engaged. At the same time, we work towards clear goals, so you can see your progress and feel more confident using the language in real life.

I had my first class with Jimmy today, and I cannot wait for the second one! :) He was very curious to get to know me, asked me questions to understand my background and my goals, and I feel even more motivated to learn Dutch thanks to his friendly and open approach. It was a great lesson with a perfect teacher for me: creative and combined approach to start my Dutch journey. From the 1st lesson I knew a lot of funny Dutch traditions and started using simple phrases. It was a fantastic lesson. Thank you!!
