I am a 24-year-old French teacher living in Paris. I spent almost all my life in New Caledonia making me a French citizen, but with a different perspective on the language and what it means to be French. Je suis une jeune enseignante de FLE de 24 ans installée à Paris. J'ai vécu presque toute ma vie en Nouvelle-Calédonie ce qui fait que je suis française mais j'ai une vision différente de ce que être Français et parler cette langue impliquent. My deeply rooted love for languages made me cross the ocean to study in la Sorbonne Nouvelle and be able to become the best teacher possible. I am very passionate about my job, and I pour a lot of energy into my classes. As I am currently doing a PHD on a topic concerning French linguistic and cultural aspects, I can also put my academic knowledge at your service. J'ai toujours aimé les langues et c'est en partie grâce à cela que j'ai pu être diplômée de la Sorbonne Nouvelle en Didactique du FLE. J'adore mon métier et vous allez vite voir que je mets beaucoup d'énergie dans mes cours. En dehors d'Italki, je fais un doctorat en sociolinguistique française, ce qui peut être utile en classe. I like to teach in a fun and accessible way to put my students at ease. I improved my TEF Speaking score from B2 to C2 thanks to Marylou! Marylou has been an incredible teacher throughout my French learning journey. She is highly professional, always well-prepared, and always brings a positive attitude to every lesson. She helped me expand my vocabulary and master natural expressions that truly made a difference in my exam performance. She introduced engaging topics that pushed me out of my comfort zone while also deepening my understanding of French culture and current affairs. Every session was both challenging and rewarding. I couldn’t recommend Marylou more! She’s super creative in her lessons. They’re always planned so well, but flexible if something comes up that we need to work on more. She’s energetic, super friendly and the lessons are relaxed. They move at a really good pace so you’re never bored. I’ve loved every single lesson. Thank you Marylou!!
