Hello! My name is Soheil and I teach English and Arabic . I have been learning languages for the past 10 years and teaching them for 4 years. In my lessons, you will learn everything through conversation even when you are learning grammar. In my opinion, speaking is the most important skill when it comes to communication, so in our classes you will be getting plenty of conversation practice.

Soheil and I just finished the last lesson in his Intermediate Arabic course! I learned many different structures, but it never felt like I was studying a lot of grammar. Soheil really knows how to present everything in such a way that you do learn something new and useful but don't have to spend hours trying to figure out how a certain bit of grammar works. He has plenty of exercises to help practice the new info and never gets impatient when it takes me a while to come up with the answers. I always have a lot of fun learning Arabic with this guy :D

I just finished my 11th lesson with Soheil and I can confidently say that he is the most prepared and supportive teacher that I have ever met on iTalki or similar websites. He adapts super well to what I need to focus on that day, be it grammar or vocab or just reading. Added to the fact that he is legitimately funny (don't get too large of a head though, Soheil) the lessons are always amusing. If you're looking for a teacher, go no further!

Great lesson, as literally always! Thanks, Soheil. See you when the days get shorter for us in Scotland - only two weeks left to enjoy the beauty of autumn!

Excellent lesson! Wonderfully well-structured, which allows me to repeat new vocab over and over until it sticks in my memory. And it's great that you produce texts that contain things we did in the past - good revision. And it forces me to devote time to doing some homework, if I don't want to look silly! Thanks a lot. See you soon!

A few more lessons in with Soheil. I am making some good progress. I think he's a great teacher not just because he's an ace at MSA, but because he has a really good grasp of the grammar of the language. I think it takes a really dedicated person to learn all of that, but he did! One thing I like about Arabic is you can sometimes figure out words just by knowing the roots of other words, but it can also be quite complicated because they're not always consistent. If there's any kind of predictable pattern though, Soheil definitely knows it.

Well, I'm only getting a lesson in each week and my study time is very limited, but I am progressing despite that because Soheil is a great teacher. I only wish I had the time to delve more into the materials he provides and the vocab and notes he gives me because I'm not doing them justice. The cool thing is that I'm having a lot of fun. We're getting into more complex grammar now. I use all the more complex tenses in English rather than plain language, which I actually consider a flaw of mine lol, so I'm trying to transition to using a little deeper grammar structures in Arabic because it's how my brain is wired. I think the hardest thing about Arabic is the verbal nouns, honestly. The majority of them fall into Form I and are irregular. And they seem to be quite common in dialect as well. I'd like to incorporate them more into my speech, but it's going to take some time to pick them up confidently.
