I am a deeply engaged and present teacher who focuses on your specific language learning styles and goals to ensure you will make progress efficiently. I use a fully student-centered approach and use this as a guiding principle for my teaching. This means, our lessons will be completely adapted to you as an individual learner. There is no set curriculum that I have for every student, since every student is totally different! Instead, I will develop lesson plans based on your expressed goals for learning English and informed by your learning preferences.
My second guiding principle is that if a lesson is enjoyable, it will be more effective. To achieve this, I invest in getting to know you, not just as a student, but as a whole person. Naturalist FellowAs a naturalist, I taught students from a variety of age groups and abilities – from preschoolers to adults – about the wonders of the natural world. Bachelor’s - Biology and Environmental StudiesMy college career was a blend of biology, environmental, education and Spanish classes. With a love for nature, and a passion for sharing my enthusiasm with others, I found my calling in an outdoor education course and have been teaching ever since!
