Certified teacher helping you to speak more confidently Hallo! Hei hei! I'm a certified German and Norwegian teacher and an open-minded citizen of the world who loves languages, people, walks in nature, cats, humor, different cultures, art, spicy food and learning new things. My professional background ranges from teaching to tourism, management and humanitarian work. Being originally from Germany, I am fortunate to have lived in different parts of the world (USA, Sri Lanka, Ghana, Portugal). Right now Norway is my home of choice, but who know where the journey goes next... Wir sprechen uns! Vi snakkes! It is important for me to get to know my students, in order for me to be able to adjust to their language levels, aims, learning styles, interests strengths and challenges. Having learned several languages in different ways myself, together with my professional background in language teaching and my own personality, gives me a very patient, flexible and joyful approach to teaching and learning languages. An important part of my role is to motivate, set up realistic expectations and create a safe learning environment. I would not say that I have a fixed teaching style, but am happy to stay flexible and adjust lessons individually to each student. We all learn differently and might also have different goals. Generally, I like to focus on practical every-day language use and building confidence in a relaxed atmosphere which allows to make (and also laugh about) mistakes.
