Maggie has been an amazing teacher. She helped me to successfully prepare for the Goethe C2 Exam with lots of feedback, practice, speaking opportunities, essay corrections, and a variety of relevant materials. I am very thankful to have had such a wonderful instructor to guide me and help me improve. It is a pleasure to work with her.

an amazing teacher! my classes with Maggie are always fun and engaging. she's very professional, and I appreciate how she encourages me to keep going, while acknowledging how challenging learning a new language can be. but also totally possible with effort and some laughs along the process. I want to encourage anyone who is thinking of taking that next step towards becoming conversational in German by working with a tutor. You can find no better, no more patient, no better facilitator than Magdalena. She approaches each student as the individual they are. I am confident stating she approaches each student as an individual not because I know any other of her students but that she has adapted to my interests over the several years we have worked together. Whether I wanted to discuss a modern German procedural based during the time of the Weimar Republic, discuss the musings of an Austrian expert on my favorite Northern Renaissance artist from 1500 or read excerpts from a Nobel award winning German author writing 100 years ago Maggie was always the engaged instructor getting me to express my interests in her native tongue. Pro tip: Try viewing the lesson as an oral validation of your preparation. She will engage with you and asks questions to help you express what to say

Magi is such a wonderful teacher. She is kind, warm, attentive, and always makes me laugh! She encourages me through each exercise, and is patient and encouraging when I'm searching for the right word. She always provides me with homework and a structured plan, but we have off-shoots of conversation based on the subject that help cement the lesson in my brain. She gives me confidence every lesson!

Maggie has been an OUTSTANDING asset in my journey to learn German—she not only helps me on a technical level but also boosts my confidence to speak in everyday situations. But the biggest thing that sets her apart, in my opinion, is her massive heart and genuine care for her students! She has a way of adapting the lesson that makes it feel as if I’m simultaneously chatting with a friend and learning from them. (She also has a talent for steering the topic back on course, which, given my addiction to digression, is something I very much need and appreciate. =P) Whenever I falter—even in phrasing a question—she’s able to turn it into a mini-lesson and makes sure to meet me where I am, so that I leave with a full understanding. Maggie has been a wonderful guide on my journey, and I’d recommend her all day, any day. I look forward to our next Stunde, Maggie! Anyone would be lucky to have you as a teacher!
