Hey there! My name is Josh, and I am excited to continue my English teaching career here on Italki. I grew up in a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota and am currently living in Minneapolis. Traveling and learning about other countries and cultures are huge interests of mine. I have had the opportunity to travel to many different places and live abroad in both Japan and Sweden. Other core interests of mine include: baking, cross-country skiing, reading, watching T.V series and movies, cooking, hiking, biking, learning languages and most recently brewing beer. I have 2 years of English teaching experience, and over 5 years of general teaching experience. As a teacher I try to create a calm, warm and welcoming environment that enables students to feel safe and free from judgement. I am well aware of how difficult it can be to learn a new language and practice speaking skills. As an English teacher I hope to guide my students to build confidence and succeed in their language learning goals. My teaching style is quite flexible. I am happy to work with you to decide what works best for your learning style. If you just want to practice having natural conversations, no problem! The WinBe branch of private English schools that I worked at is located in a small mountain town in the Kansai region, roughly a forty minutes train ride from Osaka. I taught students between the age range of 6 to 67 years, and crafted and adapted lesson plans to suite each student.
