My name is Peter and I come from the oldest city in Europe: Plovdiv. After I graduated from a prestigious linguistic high school in Bulgaria, I moved to Canada, where I continued studying languages and language teaching methods in my BA, MA, and PhD. I really love foreign languages and cultures, and I use this platform to meet people from all over the world.Ik als leerkracht
I have been teaching German and Italian for over 15 years at a prestigious Canadian University as well as at a local language school. I have experience teaching all levels and age groups, both in-person and online.Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
In my lessons, I integrate all five language skills—listening, speaking, reading, writing, and culture—and I advocate for a sixth skill: strategy awareness. My eclectic approach, informed by my PhD in Applied Linguistics, allows me to adapt to each student's individual needs. Knowing seven languages helps me connect with learners and leverage their existing knowledge.
