I've had a few classes with Lia and am extremely impressed by her skills as a teacher. She is very friendly, adaptable to your level, and make lessons thoroughly enjoyable. I plan on continuing our lessons well into the future.

Lia is an amazing teacher. My daughter (12) has been learning with her, a couple of times a week, for about two years and she has made wonderful progress. Until now, she had been focussed on speaking but not she is also working on her reading and writing.

My husband and I started studying with Lia 5 years ago, but had to stop for personal reasons. This year we decided to start learning Mandarin again. The first thing we did was searching for Lia again as we made so much progress with her before. In a short span of time, Lia prepared us to pick up the foundations very quickly. We enjoy her classes and always look forward to learning with her. Her teaching style provides many opportunities for students to practice, accumulate knowledge, and enjoy the session at the same time. Lia adds so much more to what the books provide and her style encourages us to speak freely during the class to practice talking. We are very grateful to the progress we made with Lia and we will continue taking classes with her even after learning how to speak fluently to practice with her.

Lia seems like a composed person who has taught many lessons before, and you can feel her professionalism. She does not trail you off course, and doesn't waste your time, she tries to get to know you first, understand your situation, and she shows patience.
