Jackie

I’ve been taking lessons with Jackie for several months, so this is definitely not a review based on a trial lesson. She’s an exceptional teacher. I had been looking for a good English teacher for so long that I was almost desperate to find a real professional. Then, someone recommended Jackie to me, and I’m so grateful for that recommendation. Jackie is not only a native speaker but also has an excellent vocabulary, deep knowledge of both British and American English, and a variety of methods to help improve your level. She knows how to explain grammar clearly and address all the challenges you might face as a learner. What truly sets her apart is her empathy and intelligence. Every lesson with her not only enhances my language skills but also lifts my mood. So far, she’s one of the best English teachers I’ve ever had.

Absolutely superb! It was my first proper lesson with Jackie, and so far, it's been the best English lesson of my life. Jackie was well-prepared, with interesting topics and engaging activities. Her enthusiastic and energetic vibe has brightened my day. I feel lucky that I finally found such an amazing teacher, and I'm definitely going to continue to study with her.

I really like Jacqueline! When I need a writing coach for IELTS, I always think of her! She used to help me get 6.5 in writing!

Jackie helps me to work on my pronunciation. She explains how specific sounds are made, provides me with a whole lot of syllables or words that contain that sound, has me practice, defines where exactly I have trouble pronouncing correctly - sometimes a sound is only problematic in combination with specific other sounds .. As pronunciation is not only about understanding but a lot about practice she provides me with homework so I can practice between lessons! Very helpful! She’s also super nice!

Jackie is an outstanding English teacher, especially for advanced students. Our conversation lessons are always intellectually stimulating and centered around interesting, ambitious topics that help me expand my vocabulary and express myself more precisely. Her feedback on how to sound more natural is incredibly valuable. What I appreciate the most is the atmosphere she creates. It’s a very comfortable, safe space where I can speak freely and share my opinions, even on more sensitive or controversial subjects. Jackie has a very human, empathetic approach, and it’s clear that she genuinely cares about her students' development.

If I've counted correctly I've had ten lessons with Jackie so far. She helps me working on my pronounciation. As I've been learning Englisch for 25 years and as my goal is to sound like a native this is certainly challenging. I love talking to Jackie and I am always looking forward to our lessons. In the beginning I usually talk about my week for a bit which I enjoy very much and she always uses it to observe what we still need to work on and where I have already made progress. To me it is obvious that her lessons are tailored to my specific needs. While I cannot say that she is the best teacher - just because I haven't tried anyone else - I can assure you that she is a very good teacher and certainly a very good choice!
