Hello awesome people, My name is Johan Dietvorst.
I'm 33 years "young", and I live in The Netherlands.
My native language is Dutch. But I have a C2 English score and I'm also able to speak Spanish (I lived in Mexico for 4+ years, so that's why). I speak some Japanese as well (JLPT N-4)!
I love Nature, Languages & Culture, Watches, Guitar and Sports (especially skateboarding).
Also an avid fish keeper!
I love learning different languages, because it makes it way easier to manage/survive in different countries. It also broadens your view.
Ow, I love to draw and tattoo as well!

What can you expect from me?
A fun way of learning and practising a language by just having fun conversations, using documents, pictures that you can describe and asking random fun questions.
In that way you'll see you already know more than you probably first expected!
I love languages and helping.. And apparently I'm pretty good at explaining something!
Growing up, I always had a fascination for other languages and people. In Holland you see a lot of nationalities, so it wasn't hard to find people that spoke other languages.
I quickly learnt English and later Japanese and Spanish!

Teaching style :
I'll teach you Dutch or English with the use of: Casual conversation, using pictures and, by asking questions in a funny, almost quiz style of manner. Applying the new words and sentences we learned in this session.
We can talk about any subject you like, don't hesitate to change the topic or tell a story!
*If you want, I'll give homework!*
My Lessons will be:
Very friendly and casual.
Spoken in native Dutch or English.
Always open for questions.
Available for complete beginners or skilled students who just want to practice the Dutch or English language.

Johan's knowledge about the Dutch language is truly impressive. His passion, positive energy and enthusiasm to share it make his lesson always entertaining and full of learning. Also he is very patient and manages to make me talk despite my low speaking level, which I appreciate a lot. And he has a ton of material that he can adapt to suit the way you want to practice. So I can only recommend him, whether you are a beginner or want to improve your current level, you'll be in good hands.

Johannes creates a very relaxed atmosphere, where even new learners feel completely at ease to speak Dutch and improve every lesson. Each lesson is well prepared, explained on a level that is easy to understand and with good material.
