I am a native Japanese speaker with over 10 years of teaching experience. I have taught both online and offline, and I have also worked at a language school. I have learned English and Korean, so I understand how exciting and challenging it can be to learn a new language.

I'm dedicated to helping you become a confident speaker of Japanese. My lessons may be challenging, but if you are serious about improving and appreciate a structured approach, I am the right teacher for you!
I give homework every lesson, so you can practice and review what you learnt. (Doing homework is very important to build a solid foundation!) Please review the previous lesson and memorise the new vocabulary before the lesson. This will ensure that our sessions are productive and enjoyable.
Many of my students, who started as beginners, are now able to discuss a wide range of topics, from daily activities to world news, at an advanced level. I'm very proud of their progress!^^* Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
I teach Japanese in Japanese! The best way to learn a new language is to immerse yourself and practice speaking as much as possible. I can assist in English or Korean if needed, but don’t worry about making mistakes—I will always correct and guide you!

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Please notify me at least 48 hours in advance if you need to reschedule or postpone a lesson. If a cancellation is made within 48 hours of the lesson, or if you arrive more than 10 minutes late without prior notice, the full lesson fee will be charged. Thank you♡Mijn lesmateriaal

My experience learning under Manami Sensei these past couple of weeks has been excellent. Her well-paced instruction and consistent use of interactive pair work has been incredibly beneficial. I feel I've made significant progress and learned a substantial amount in this short time.

I've been studying under Sensei for the past two years, and I can say that my Japanese ability has improved by leaps and bounds. More specifically, you will get lots of speaking practice alongside reviewing material in class (reading and grammer practice) and a ton of writing practice outside of class as homework. Essentially her lessons cover all the bases you need (outside of Kanji studying which you may need to do in your own time) to become proficient in Japanese! I would definitely recommend Sensei to anyone that is genuinely looking to study Japanese and become proficient in the language!

She guides the class like no one else and I like the correction she makes so I can pronounce the word better since I don’t have exposure to a lot of Japanese, I am learning all with her!

She puts a focus on real-world situations through conversational lessons, and is happy to provide homework to reinforce learnings.

Even though I don’t have much time outside of class to review or make consistent progress toward my Japanese goals at the moment, my teacher always supports me with patience and kindness. She adapts perfectly to my schedule, understands my frequent travels, and makes every lesson both fun and productive. Having class at 8 a.m. due to the time difference can be challenging, but I truly hope it will remain sustainable so that we can continue studying together for a long time.
