I'm from Tokyo, Japan, and I'm currently living in Vancouver, Canada.
I studied abroad in Washington State, USA when I was a college student. I was learning English and American culture, but at the same time it gave me a chance to rethink about Japanese language and culture. After graduating from university, I worked for a Japanese company for about 5 years, and when I decided to move to Canada, I became a Japanese language teacher because I wanted to teach people who has interests in Japan. ・I finished a Japanese teaching course that meets the government standards. Also, I have a certificate from the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test. Now, I am teaching in Italki and online Japanese school.
・My personality is very friendly, patient, and easy to talk with. I have been said that I am a patient teacher by my students.
・I believe that the best way to learn a language is by being curious and doing try-and-error. In my lesson, I would like students to just relax and enjoy.Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
1. Beginner Course with Textbook
・I use GENKI textbook and workbook (the 3rd edition).
・This course has homework to review.
2. Free conversation
・This is for those who already know basic sentences and want to practice conversation. If you don't have confident to make sentences by yourself, I would recommend to study with textbook.
・You can bring topics you like or we can talk about random things if you don't have any preferences.
【Important Notice】
・I will finish the lesson 5 mins before the ending time due to preparation for the next class.
・If you need to reschedule a lesson, please send a time change request at least 12 hours before.

Amazing teacher! Super fun to talk to! Japanese is definitely a difficult language but I’m super happy that I chose her as my teacher/sensei.

Moe is very easy to talk to and while she has material and questions prepared for conversation lulls, she also is flexible enough to go with the conversation. She also does well of catering to your level as she will use as much or as little English as you’d like. Great fun!
