I'm an experienced TESOL certified English teacher and I'm currently teaching on Italki full time. I enjoy it and I'm not planning to stop. I have worked with students of all ages while focusing on different objectives. I've helped them prepare for IELTS and other official English exams and achieve desired scores. My background is in IT and I have worked as a software engineer and programmer/developer in Canadian business environment for many years. Many of my students are business professionals, IT engineers predominantly, as I understand both business and technical terminology. Talking about my teaching technique, as every student is different, every English class with me is different as well. Which teaching methodology is used will depend largely on you and your needs. I use improvisations and lively discussions about various topics. Humour is part of my classes as I want you to have fun as you learn. I felt that he is a wonderful teacher who provides very experienced and high-quality lessons. He carefully took in my needs and goals for my career and presented a future lesson plan. Also, I appreciated his attentive listening to what I said, such as properly pointing out and correcting grammatical errors at the end. I would like to continue taking lessons with him and aim to participate more confidently and actively in English meetings.

Awesome class! Steve has an incredible gift for teaching. He can identify exactly what do you need to adjust to have a better English. He is always taking notes to not interrupt you and correct your mistakes after you finish the sentence, in this way, the conversation flows much better. I was already an intermediate/advanced student, but I learned something from every class, plus had a lot of fun doing it!
