Hi! Iâm Maria, a language teacher with over 15 years of experience. Iâm originally from Brazil and Iâve been living in Italy since 2017.
I learned both English and Italian as second languages â so I truly understand how it feels to freeze, to overthink every word, or to feel like youâre not yourself when speaking. Iâm calm, supportive and highly organised. My lessons are relaxed but structured, because I believe you learn best when you feel both safe and guided.
I wonât overload you with grammar rules or generic exercises. Instead, Iâll listen to whatâs blocking you, and Iâll help you build a study routine that feels clear, useful and doable â even with a busy life.

English TeacherAs an independent teacher, Iâve worked with adult learners from different backgrounds â professionals, expats and language lovers â helping them overcome fear, unlock their spoken English and build lasting routines.
I create and deliver 1:1 lessons, develop personalised study plans, and provide continuous support between sessions. Over the years, Iâve also designed my own teaching method, combining mindset coaching, structured learning, and real-life English practice.

Maria is a wonderful and patient teacher! I really appreciate the variety of exercises we do - they are fun, challenging, and fitting of my level. And because she teaches in Portuguese and initiates practice chats throughout, I find myself naturally trying to come up with phrases to speak with her despite my fear of getting it wrong! This has helped a lot in honing my speaking skills, which I find to be the most challenging part of language learning.

Maria eâ davvero una ragazza ed una insegnante incredibilmente attenta, premurosa e preparata.
Eâ molto paziente e molto disponibile. La mia esperienza personale con Maria eâ super positiva. Lei ha un modo di comunicare tranquillo e sereno che ti mette subito nella condizione ottimali per imparare. Una ragazza che oltre ad un garbo e gentilezza che non vanno date per scontanti oggi come oggi, ha un suo metodo personale dâinsegnamento davvero comprensibile a noi principiante.
