Working with my Raphaelle tutor has been deeply meaningful, not just educational. She is an excellent teacher who explains the language clearly and patiently, making even difficult concepts feel manageable. What makes her truly special is how she connects language learning to culture and identity. She has taught me so much about Haitian history, and has helped me feel closer to my Haitian roots and understand the language as something living and personal—not just words and grammar. Her lessons are engaging, thoughtful, and encouraging, and she genuinely cares about your growth. If you’re looking to learn Haitian Creole while also reconnecting with your heritage, I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

I am a huge fan of Haitian Konpa music, and I asked Raphaelle to help me translate my favorite song into English. During our lesson, she was friendly, engaging, patient, and helpful. Raphaelle is a wonderful teacher and I look forward to working with her again soon.

Raphaëlle is the beeeeest! I wish I could have class with her every day. Every time I talk to her I can tell my Creole is improving. I’m an avid language learner so I’m pretty picky when it comes to choosing a teacher, and I can assure you she is the best for Creole. She is amazing at adapting her speech (rhythm, speed, and vocabulary) to your level, as well as keeping the conversation flowing no matter what your level is.
