I have worked as a teaching assistant in the language centres of a Chinese university and a British university, where I organised a lot of Chinese and English language teaching activities. I have also volunteered in some language exchange programmes, where I won an award for being an excellent language buddy. I have experience working with students from all over the world and I am good at understanding non-native Chinese speakers' Chinese. I plan my lessons based on my student's individual needs. You are very welcome to contact me to talk about your request. Here are some possibilities of what our class would be like:
1. We can focus on one textbook, your word list or your own text, and we use it as a conversation generator instead of text to read. You might have no trouble with reading the text, but it's more important to really be able to talk about the topics of the texts and use the vocabulary flexibly.
2. We can watch a video together of your interest (e.g. Peppa Pig) and parse the sentences one by one. By the end, you will be able to understand and talk like the video.
3. We can play a game together talking in ChineseMijn lesmateriaal

Really enjoyed talking to Yidan today - she makes learning Chinese a lot of fun which is incredibly important, and even put together a really detailed document after the lesson, highlighting new vocabulary we had used and correcting mistakes that I had made during the class. She is bubbly and energic and I highly recommend her classes!

Yidan is an excellent and highly professional teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed our all too brief introductory lesson. She has a vibrant personality and her command of English is first rate. I would, without hesitation, recommend her to anyone wishing to improve their Chinese.

Yidan is very very energetic and easy to talk to! She really encourages speaking which is very helpful. She is also very humorous which makes the learning atmosphere feel more relaxed and fun. Thank you Yidan!
