I’ve worked in business and know what it’s like to lead meetings and presentations in a second language – I used to do it in Japanese. Later in my career I worked as a professional Japanese-speaking tour guide. I gained strong public speaking skills and learned how to present to diverse audiences. She listened carefully to my story and helped me clarify my goals. I don’t often have the chance to talk about my situation in detail, so speaking with her helped me realize new things about myself. It also gave me time to reflect, and I really enjoyed the lesson.
