Hello! My name is Julija, I'm from Latvia, Riga.
I'm fluent in Latvian, Russian, English, and German. I've been working as a translator and language tutor since 2006. Let me help you with your language studies!
My lessons are very customized to your needs. I'm very patient and try to explain everything thoroughly. I also help to understand situational and cultural context.
Let's learn your first words if you're a beginner or have a relaxed conversation if you're more advanced.
The main focus is on:
- Conversational practice
- Real in-life use of words and phrases with understanding the context
- Overall understanding, listening, and reading skills
- Proper grammar and writing skills
For the past 10+ years I have been working as a translator, reviser, interpreter and language teacher.
I have a Bachelor and Master level professional degree in translation and interpretation.
My teaching experience is about 5 years – in private, in groups up to 20 people and online.
I have various experience, but personally prefer helping beginners and intermediate language users to improve their skills, especially speaking, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Enjoyed my trial lesson with Julija. She gained an understanding of my needs and clearly explained how the structure of her lessons would work going forward.
