Andrés knows how to teach. He's intelligent and articulate and has a nice sense of humour. I always enjoy our lessons these days. I admit that initially I hated homework, (and actually quit italki, not because of him, but because of me) but Andrés explained that he doesn't mind if students don't have time-we all have busy lives. So, do what you can and don't shoot the piano player. Disfruta de tu español!

When I started lessons with Andres, I didn't know any Spanish. Today, I am fluent! 🙌 It wasn't easy, but I trusted in Andres and his system, and I am so glad that I did. Get off the silly apps that don't work. If you're ready to actually learn Spanish, then book some time with Andres (hopefully he has availability).

I like these classes because of the way Andrés explains the material—his approach is very professional, and he easily clarifies all challenging questions. During class, he takes notes, which I can (and do) review afterward; this helps a lot. He also uses many additional materials to support his explanations, such as books, videos, and texts. What do I like the most? His individual and unique approach to every student, every day, and every situation. Sometimes we spend the entire hour talking (with notes, of course), sometimes it’s a grammar drill, and sometimes it’s a review of new material. But the most important thing for me is Andrés’s classes are never boring. That’s why his students stay with him for years and often become good friends. Calm, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly—he makes our classes truly enjoyable.

Andrés is most inventive; we spend the first part talking generally then embark on a more formal part which involves interpretation of text etc. Always most enjoyable!!
