Abel

Abel is a smart and kind teacher. He is easy to talk to and to understand. Sometimes we discuss certain grammar rules that I struggle with, but usually we discuss certain society related topics, which make the lessons interesting but also helps me a lot with my vocabulary! Thanks again Abel!

One of the benefits of this service is the ability to have a cultural exchange as well as a language lesson. Today, while talking with Abel he educated me on Venezuelan politics while keeping the mood light. He is very intelligent and can maintain an interesting conversation. So, I do recommend him to anyone looking to improve their conversational Spanish. He also speaks English quite well, so if you are purely a beginner you could benefit as well.

Abel is clearly explains grammatical concepts, and I appreciate how much he allows me to think through what I want to say, while providing the corrections I need. I also very much enjoy his sense of humor. Cinco estrellas para siempre.

During every lesson we’ve had Abel has consistently brought engaging and challenging material to discuss in Spanish. Crucially, Abel has given me the freedom to talk about a topic whilst noting any errors I make to share at an appropriate time I.e. I’m not interrupted ever 2 seconds which allows an authentic, flowing conversation. Each lesson has been tailored to my needs and I feel I have improved greatly since taking our lessons regularly.

Having worked with a dozen different Spanish teachers for over 400 total hours of lessons on iTalki, I can confidently say that Abel is one of the most responsive, eloquent, and engaging teachers that I’ve ever encountered, with a highly diversified vocabulary, natural conversational flow, and awareness of regional dialects and expressions that make classes productive and efficient even for advanced learners. I would highly recommend these classes for anyone hoping to take their Spanish to the next level!

The teacher created a relaxed atmosphere which was conducive to learning. I liked his personality and didn't feel pressured to perform. He is very knowledgeable and speaks good English which was helpful when he needed to explain something that I didn't understand in Spanish. Our focus was on speaking Spanish though.
