Certified TEFL Teacher Hello! My name is Juanita. I have taught English informally for about 4 years and formally for one year in South Korea. My lessons are for those of all levels who want to focus on speaking and listening. I have a B.A. in International Studies and a B.A. in Religious Studies. I recently received my M.A. in Sociology from the University of York in England. I have traveled to many different countries and have even lived in England, South Korea, and Morocco. My interests are traveling, language learning, listening to music in all languages from Korean to Spanish, and of course binge-watching dramas on Netflix. I am willing to talk about any and everything so our classes will never be boring. As a teacher, I am very patient and very kind :) I will speak slowly and use words that are easy to understand. I am someone who focuses mainly on speaking and listening because I know that these concepts are difficult to practice in a traditional classroom setting. For the first lesson, we will get to know each other and talk about your learning style. For example, do you want to discuss current events going on in the world or would like to learn basic phrases that Americans use daily? I will come up with discussion topics before each lesson and we will have conversations based on these topics for the lesson. Feel free to suggest any topics that you want for our lessons.
