I started working with Yvan for TEF preparation but then I switched to TCF preparation, and I can’t recommend him enough for both. He is an exceptional teacher - always well-prepared, patient, and encouraging. He doesn’t just correct grammatical errors; he also suggests more natural and elegant ways to express ideas in French. What really stands out is his positivity and the way he makes learning feel lighter and more enjoyable. Even on days when I feel overwhelmed with work or not in the mood to study, his sessions always leave me feeling more confident and motivated. Every class is thoughtfully structured; he comes prepared with subjects for practice and not a minute of the session is wasted. I always walk away with new insights and a renewed sense of progress. I’m truly grateful to have found such a dedicated and inspiring teacher. Merci beaucoup Yvan!

I've been taking lessons with Yvan for a year. Yvan is an excellent teacher. He is always well prepared and chooses very interesting videos/topics to discuss. His interview style conversation are incredible. He was able to improve my vocabulary, grammar and conversational skills a lot. I am really enjoying my lessons and Yvan is preparing me for the compréhension orale section (speaking) for TCF. He is patient, corrects my mistakes and encourages me to ask questions. We are practicing with different topics, that is helping me to speak with confidence and improve my speaking skills.

Thanks for answering all my questions about the DELF B2, and for your encouragement and critique of my monologues. After so much practice and with the structure that you have helped me put together, talking on a random subject no longer seems so daunting and I feel (almost) ready for my exam next week.

Yvan is helping me prepare for the speaking part of the TCF test. His lessons are very enjoyable - he provides a good level of challenge which has helped me improve a lot. He also gives very useful feedback both in terms of corrections and suggestions for more natural phrasing, as well as advice and insight on how to be successful in the exam. We try and speak in French as much as possible which is great practice but he's also happy repeat, rephrase, or to switch to English when I don't understand something.
