I was born in Paraguay - South America, the place where I lived my first 4 years until my family and I moved to Rome - Italy.
Since a very tender age, I was able to absorb both Spanish and Italian, which made me easily open to understanding each one of them.
That first and very early experience abroad cultivated in me a big passion for countries and languages.
Back in my native Asunción, I started teaching Spanish and Italian while also studying Law and after a few years in I got a chance to travel to the U.S. to learn English and understand the American culture. With these experiences, I learned how fascinating the world is and how beautiful all languages are!Ik als leerkracht
I started teaching right after high school, I had a job offer to teach in an elementary school thanks to my language fluency and ability to adapt easily. Since the first day, I felt very comfortable doing what I realized I loved.
I enjoy very much having fun during the lessons, and the smiles and big laughs are a sign that also my students are enjoying themselves.
I think the best way to learn a language is to have a very relaxed conversation by also creating a friendly relationship with students.Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
I consider myself a very friendly and open mind teacher, I mostly focus on the conversation aspect, while also understand the basics of grammar. All of my lessons are prepared in advance and adapted to every single student, their needs and requests. I like to encourage students to make themselves understand and to feel proud of signs of progress.

Very different way to teach.I was always feeling uncomfortable to speak if I don't know enough words or grammars.Rocío makes me understand and speak even I don't know too much abour spanish.She will always listen and encourage you.

Today is one of the last days of Ramadan, and while I am not Muslim I do live in a country where the majority of people are. For this reason, Rocio and I spent our session today talking about the month of Ramadan, the changes that take place in the community and with individual people, the Quran, and Eid al-Fitr. She was very interested in the knowledge I've gained over some years and was eager to share commonalities with the Catholic religion. I appreciate her openness to the topic and all the new vocabulary she gifted me during our lesson together. Gracias y hasta pronto Rocio!
