I am a native English speaker and TEFL certified teacher living in Ecuador. I have been living in South America since February 2019, and before moving to Ecuador I lived and worked in Santiago, Chile.
I was born in France, speak French, but grew up in San Francisco, California. I am also a pastry chef and I have traveled across the states, and now South America where I create desserts and also explore my passion for teaching.Ik als leerkracht
I have been teaching English on Italki since my arrival to Ecuador in 2020. I also taught French in the past, and have worked in a school helping students improve their English skills.
I enjoy meeting and teaching students from around the world! I am also a student on Italki and I am using this platform to improve my Italian and Portuguese, so I understand how it is to be a student on the other side of the screen. I like to adapt my lessons to each student, depending on what they want to learn and especially on what they need to improve.
My conversation classes include grammar, pronunciation, and speaking skills. My "English for all Levels" classes include speaking practice but also reading, writing, listening, and involve homework. I can help with test preparation as well. I like to use interesting topics and play games with my students. English learning has to be fun yet effective!

Olivia is an awesome teacher! Her classes are so well put together and dependable, plus she's just super nice and patient which makes learning easy. We dive into all sorts of topics during our classes, which has really improved my vocabulary. And she doesn't just fix my mistakes, she introduces me to cool new words, phrasal verbs and idioms. My speaking skills have gotten way better thanks to her!
