There are many different types of language teachers online these days, but from my experience, if you were to roughly categorize them into two main groups, there is one that's good for simply enjoying and practicing casual conversations and, the other that really influences your learning experience. Jamie is the latter. While she is also a great conversationalist, her dedication to help you speak more naturally and correctly in Korean is second to none. She also employs various approaches to her lessons, so you get to work on your Korean from different angles over time. If you are serious about improving your Korean and want to spend your time and money productively to that end, I'm certain that she is one of the best choices you can make. I'm always grateful that I've found her in my Korean learning journey.

For our first lesson we worked on pronunciation which is what I wanted and she was able to pinpoint my areas that need work immediately and helped me come up with a plan for fixing the sounds that didn’t sound correct. She is patient and so helpful and was not at all flustered when my technology didn’t work correctly either.

I’ve been studying with Jamie for 3 months now and my Korean has improved so much in that time! I went from barely being able to say anything to being able to speak simple sentences. She focuses on pronunciation a lot and gave me really helpful tips that I haven’t heard anywhere else. Her lessons are engaging and she explains new concepts very well. I’m so happy I found such a wonderful teacher!

오늘 기초부터 다시 설명해 주셔서 감사합니다! 그동안 헷갈렸던 부분들이 이제 훨씬 더 명확해졌어요!ㅋ 저는 아예 기초가 없는 상태에서 시작하는 사람과는 달리, 이미 이것저것 조금씩 배운 상태라서 어떤 부분이 기초인지, 순서가 무엇인지 등 스스로 잘 구분하지 못한 것 같아요. 그래서 의도치 않게 기본을 건너뛴 것처럼 보였을 수도 있을 것 같아요.ㅋ 앞으로는 순서대로 배우도록 노력할게요. 조언 감사합니다! ☺️
