Hi my name is Mary Lovely, I live in Monza, a city near Milan famous for the F1 Gran Prix.
I earned a Bachelor's degree in Intercultural Communcation and a Master's degree in Cultural Anthropology (Chinese Studies). During and after graduating, I traveled around the word to study new languages and learn about habits and traditions of other people.
I lived in China for two years to study Chinese language and culture. I also spent three months in the US at a Cooperative-style Community based in Rochester NY. During that time, I could improve my english skills and learn more about eco-friendly life.
I have eight-year-long experience in teaching Italian to foreign students.Ik als leerkracht
After volunteering for an association working with migrats, I realized I wanted to become an Italian teacher. I worked full time as Italian teacher in Milan for several years. I also worked in a language school in China; over time, and thanks to my skills in Mandarin, I specialized in teaching Italian to Chinese people.
In addition, I have experience in teaching conversation for all levels, CILS exam preparation, pronunciation, and writing. I consider myself a passionate, empathyc and considerate teacher; I like to make my students at ease during the lesson. Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
I plan my lessons based on my student's need. The topics can be specific or general depending on your interest and necessity. I never plan the lesson before I meet with students: we will discuss your needs and I will tailor it!
I can provide you with materials for all levels (articles, exercises, vocabulary games...) and I will guide you step by step through your study.
Since I studied singing in the past, I pay much attention to pronunciation and spelling.

My first lesson with Mary was amazing. We warmed up to each other right away. It was obvious that we both enjoyed the conversation very much. I was able to use a lot of vocabulary, express a lot of ideas and listen as well. I feel that despite living very different lives, that we have lots in common.
