Hello, my name is Chel from The Philippines. I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Surigao Del Sur, which is why my native language is Cebuano. I have an adorable daughter. Currently I live near the beach and wonderful islands with my family.
In my spare time, I like to go walking, reading books and play games on my phone. I love to cook, I can make lots of different types of food. I have also a passion for dancing. I feel alive when I dance and I think it is a great form of exercise.

I can teach you 3 different languages English, Tagalog and Cebuano. I have a TEFL certificate from the U.K. I am very passionate about teaching. I can help you with your speaking, listening, reading and writing of these three languages. I have a wide range of students in age, from young children to adults. I can improve your grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary.
I have been teaching online for around 1 year on several platforms and feel very comfortable teaching on a video camera.

In my lesson, firstly I assess each student on their language ability and then formulate a plan of action in the most effective way of teaching that student. I used alot of different teaching methods, from a slow pace teaching approach to grammar lesson that teaches the student how to use grammar effectively in each language.
For beginners, we will start with the basics together. Firstly working on basic sentences and pronunciation. From the 1st lesson, I will teach you some basic sentences and words so you will be speaking before you know it.

I absolutely loved my Tagalog/Filipino lesson with Chel. She had a PDF document with great notes perfectly suited for my level, and she also taught me every topic I asked about. I can't wait to learn all of these words and phrases, as well as for our next lesson. She made the lesson personal, so everything I learned I could use right away!

During the trial lesson for Cebuano, Chel was very friendly & welcoming, getting to know me first as a person (where I live, family, friends, work) while inserting some vocab (clarifying by speaking & typing) as needed. I fully understand Cebuano and am just now practicing speaking & writing it. She said there aren't really clear grammar rules for Cebuano like Filipino/Tagalog, except the ones she observed & took note of herself, but since I already know the language, this is not a problem. She has learning documents to share during the full lesson, so I look forward to exchanging our learning of grammar for Cebuano, while she helps me build my vocab! Maraming salamat po (:
