Hi, I’m Alex! I’m from the USA and I moved to Spain in 2017 in search of a new adventure. I have been actively studying and practicing Spanish ever since, so I know the challenges of learning a new language.
I love traveling and experiencing other cultures. In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading, and painting. I also enjoy volunteering for a local international women's group where I organize meet ups and help build a growing community where people can connect and make friends. I've been working as an English teacher both online and in person since 2017. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Geography focusing on cultural studies and minored in Spanish. I completed a TEFL certification course and studied a Masters degree in teaching. In my classes we will cover all of the language learning components to ensure you have a well-rounded skill set. I have experience working with students from all over the world and enjoy seeing my students progress. I am an engaging teacher and I take pride in the success of my students. I plan my lessons based on my student's individual needs. In our first class we will discuss what your goals are and I will develop a plan based on your English level. My classes will include level-appropriate grammar, conversation, vocabulary, reading, and writing activities. I use a variety of online resources including news articles, grammar worksheets, video clips, and more. I adapt my lessons to each student based on their goals.Mijn lesmateriaal

Alex is such an interesting person to talk with! She shares her foreign language learning experience, so she understands why English learners usually feel nervous while speaking. It was a wonderful conversation, I've finally understood that I can SPEAK English!
