I currently live in Mexico even though I was born in Holland. I've also lived in Germany. My entire life has been about languages and I've learned them in different ways. In Mexico I teach English, German at the University of Veracruz and I also teach English, German, Spanish and Dutch privately.

I've been teaching for 25 years. It's something that I've always loved. My students seem to like my classes a lot. I'm dynamic and playful but I'm also dedicated to my students learning something that will provide them with the tools to make their lives better.

Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven

As a teacher I try to find different ways to make learning an interesting experience. I use lots of different materials and am able to explain why things are the way they are, in any of the languages I speak. However, I try not to impose. I'm always open to new ideas, to different opinions. NOTE: Even though I like them a lot, I do no teach children. They require special attention. I just don't have the time.

Before this class, I thought speaking Dutch was difficult and terrifying. So, I didn't speak any Dutch until I had to face my interview. After his class, I found that it's easy to speak Dutch. Marco is amazing! He is extremely knowledgeable of the spoken language, but also the rules and structures. He is very kind and pleasant to work with. He has a very calm and positive personality and I highly recommend him.

This lesson was amazing! Even though I have been learning German for less than a month, Marco was still patient enough to converse with me in German for the entire hour! I learned new words and improved my pronunciation, but it was all in context so I feel like my confidence and fluency has already grown from just one lesson. Seriously the best beginner language lesson I've ever had. I'm so excited to learn new words over the next week so that I can use them in our next lesson.
