I have been taking lessons with Mizuki先生 for almost a year now and extremely impressed with his professionalism and teaching style. He is incredibly knowledgeable about "みんなの日本語", and pays close attention to every smallest details. He is very focused on building a solid foundation and also ensuring that I am developing good habits when it comes to pronunciation and speaking and writing in an idiomatic manner. I always look forward to the beginning of our lessons, as Mizuki先生 takes the time to share interesting tidbits about Japanese culture and news, making the experience both informative and fun. If you are looking for a patient and knowledgeable teacher who can help you build a solid foundation in Japanese, I highly recommend Mizuki先生.

Mizuki-sensei is a very professional, detail-oriented teacher. He provides great explanations even for complicated grammar concepts, and always opens class with an interesting discussion of current events/holidays in Japan. Purchasing a lesson package with Mizuki-sensei has been one of the best investments I have made in my Japanese language studies. I highly recommend booking a lesson with Mizuki-sensei, so long as you don't take my regular time slot!

Clearly stopped me when I made mistakes (and explained how to correct them) and otherwise kept conversation flowing, which is exactly what I had previously requested.

I have been taking classes with Mizuki-sensei for close to two years in a row, and I have nothing but praise for his classes. He is very professional, flexible, and knowledgeable. He can teach anything from basic Japanese, JLPT, business Japanese, or anything else that the student wants to focus on. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that wants to learn/practice Japanese, regardless of level or goals.

If you’re looking for a Japanese instructor that is excellent and works hard at what they do - book Mizuki. My son’s progress in Japanese has really gone to another level under his tutelage.

Class structure was pretty simple - just free conversation, but Mizuki sensei was careful to help keep conversation flowing and not let it sit quietly while I struggled to bring my thoughts together in Japanese. Free conversation is also well-suited to my current language-learning needs, and he helpfully corrected me whenever I used unnatural or ungrammatical expressions as we chatted.
