I specialise in stress-free, tailored speaking practice – helping learners to gain fluency effortlessly. 7+ years of teaching experience (5,000+ hours online). I'm a singer-songwriter who's lived and worked on 5 continents, and now I've chosen to settle down in Italy. Before the pandemic, I was teaching around Sicily and Rome. I ran an 'English Conversational Aperitivo' in Milan before moving to Brussels to become a Cicerone. When the pandemic struck, I switched to teaching online. I enjoy my work. I find ways to connect with my students in order to create a working environment with as little stress as possible while maintaining a professional work ethic. I correct mistakes in the chat window so as not to disrupt the flow of the conversation; I introduce vocabulary in context so that the brain has a reason to hold onto the new information; and I give personalised recommendations on how I feel you could study in your spare time. I'm always available for questions. Even out of working hours. If it looks like I don't have much space on my schedule, write to me. I might be fully booked for a week at a time, but I can move some things around and find a way to fit you in. Or if you look to the next week, you'll see more opportunities available.

I always enjoy my lessons with Sean. He is an excellent teacher and most importantly, a good person. Sean helps me to expand my vocabulary and use complex words, he encourages me to speak more and our conversations feel very natural and not forced. He always understands my mood and adapts to it.
