My name is Ryusei, and I’m from Nara, Japan — a place famous for its temples, history, and friendly deer.
Outside of teaching, I have a variety of interests. I like visiting art museums, basketball, and also hearing your stories, experiences, and ideas is one of the things I enjoy most. As a teacher, I value flexibility. Every student has different backgrounds, and the most effective way to master a language varies from person to person, so I always adjust my lessons to fit what you need. Thankfully, my students often tell me that I have a calm and relaxed way of teaching, which makes it easier for them to speak without feeling nervous.
Ultimately, I want to be a teacher who listens carefully and encourages you. I’ll do my best to guide you in your Japanese learning journey, while making sure you always feel comfortable and motivated.

Beyond going through the material in a patient and well educated way, one of Ryusei's strengths is being able to communicate well socially. He brings up lots of great topics to talk about through every day life and this not only helps learn the natural flow of language, but it also fun and enjoyable.

Ryusei is a great conversation partner! He adapts really easily to your level and maintains a natural I+1 comprehension level throughout the class which is very effective at boosting vocabulary acquisition. Also he always asks very interesting questions, classes are genuinely very fun!
