My name is Dash, and I’m a professional bilingual teacher of Japanese and Chinese. I absolutely love connecting with people from all around the world, and I’m always excited to make friends across different cultures and countries.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with animals, and learning foreign languages. Right now, I’m actively learning English! 🌍✈️
So far, I’ve been lucky to visit many amazing places, including China, Thailand, South Korea, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Macau, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

I am a certified Chinese 🇨🇳 and Japanese 🇯🇵 teacher.
I started teaching both languages professionally back in 2015, and since then, I’ve delivered over 13,000 lessons to students from all around the world—including China, Japan, South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Colombia, Venezuela, and France.
I first discovered italki in 2018 while learning English myself, and by 2020, I decided to begin sharing my languages here too. Teaching is more than just a job to me—it brings real meaning to my life, and nothing makes me happier than helping others make progress.

Dash先生 is a fabulous teacher! He is very good at catering the lesson to the students needs and level and does an amazing job at explaining concepts. He makes the class super enjoyable and engaging and I always feel super motivated to learn. He’s also very encouraging and leaves thoughtful reviews after the lessons which I really enjoy!
Overall Dash先生 is amazing and definitely pushes me to learn everyday in a way where I’m able to see progress and enjoy my journey!

Dash is a very patient and effective teacher, with a deep knowledge of the historical importance of Japanese words, characters and meanings! I am always able to have my questions answered, which is able to help in my understanding of the language. When I don't understand how to implement particles or words he is also able to easily provide alternative examples to assist in understanding how to properly structure sentences!
Classes are always positive and upbeat, making for a relaxed and effective space to learn.
