Hi all!
My name is Ralph, and I am a native English speaker originally from the south of England (near London). I live with my wife and three children. I love music and languages, computer games, travelling, sports, and of course, conversations! I love food, especially sushi!.. Our family lives in Newcastle, which is in the North East of England. I am a qualified English teacher (CELTA) and have been teaching online since early 2021. As I have been learning Japanese through italki for a while, I know how important it is to find a teacher who encourages you to reach your potential. I hope I can be that teacher for you!
I have taught music (piano and saxophone) for nearly 20 years, so I am very comfortable teaching in a one-on-one environment. I really enjoy helping students work through problems and understand the details of the subject. Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
My lessons will be prepared in advance on the requested subject. They will make use of materials I have had access to while studying my CELTA. They can be as relaxed or as intense as you wish, we can work on your own suggested goals (perhaps IELTS or other) or you can let me suggest what I think would be best. We had such a great chat with Ralph! We discussed the topic of Stereotypes, and I can say that the stereotype of "closed and arrogant Brits" is completely unfair! Ralph is a very sympathetic and positive person with a great sense of humor. When the dialogue is so exciting, learning English is much easier and more fun. Thank you very much!!
