In today's lesson, we covered a variety of engaging topics. We started by discussing how my week went, which helped me practice conversational Japanese. We then moved on to reading a recent news article about an interesting product launch. This not only enhanced my reading skills but also provided insight into current events. Finally, we analyzed the cultural response in Japan to this event and compared it to similar events in a recent television show, deepening my understanding of Japanese culture. The lesson was both informative and enjoyable, and I recommend Ayano-san extremely highly to anyone looking to improve their Japanese!

I have a meeting with my partner's Japanese clients next week, and Ayano has been incredible at helping me prepare. This has so far included: - Going through a list of nitpicky questions I sent her on language, actions, and etiquette, methodically answering each one with text, images, and even doodles! - Bringing her own list of typical Japanese business dinner small talk topics to see how prepared I was to answer them (answer: not at all) - Making time in class to walk me through structuring a letter to them, after I'd struggled to write it on my own - Sending me links to resources on topics relevant to these clients - Making herself available to answer questions at any time, even outside classes This is on top of our usual conversation practise at the start of each class, which has been as valuable as always. Ayano has introduced me to so many potential opportunities (and pitfalls!) for this visit, I don't know what I would have done without her. Truly above and beyond.

I finally had my second lesson with Ayano Sensei, and it was fantastic! I had a bit of a gap between my first and second lesson due to personal reasons, so I was a little nervous jumping back into my lessons. But Ayano Sensei did such a fantastic job making me feel comfortable. Her lessons are very engaging and interesting. There is a great balance of speaking, listening, and reading practice as well. (I am not currently looking for writing practice, so that is not included in my lessons). I really appreciate her taking the time to create lessons that are best suited for my level and my language goals. Her explanations are always clear and easy to understand; I really feel like I come away from each lesson having learned a lot! Thank you, Ayano Sensei!

Ayano has been very helpful, she's done a great job at customizing lesson materials to my current level and needs. Even though I try to speak Japanese as much as possible during the lessons, whenever I need to speak English (or when I get excited and forget to speak Japanese) she follows along perfectly. Her professional background intersects with my professional background in a way that is useful for our lessons. I would happily recommend Ayano to anyone looking for a Japanese teacher.
