Hi, my name is Salvador, and I’m from a small town in California. In my free time, I love learning languages, working out at the gym, taking care of plants, and traveling. One of my greatest passions is learning about the history of different countries—I believe that understanding the past helps us understand the present. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Second Language Studies from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, along with minors in Spanish and French. During my time in Hawaiʻi, I had the opportunity to study multiple languages—including Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Hawaiian—which strengthened my passion for multilingualism and cultural understanding. I later completed a Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum, and Instruction from San José State University. Having taught in a Spanish Immersion program and with English language learners, I have seen how visual supports can make language accessible for all learners. I learn about their interests and use authentic materials—such as articles related to their hobbies in order to personalize instruction.
