My name is Juan Pablo Vargas, I was born in Venezuela, but I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am studying Economics at the University of Buenos Aires. I work as a translator and proofreader in both Spanish and English, I started in this area as a hobby in my teens, translating (and in some cases writing) Wikipedia articles, once my knowledge in both languages was sufficient, I was able to take this as a job. I have always enjoyed the process of sharing knowledge with others, that is why I started on Wikipedia and why later on I focused on teaching my mother tongue, to continue this process of spreading knowledge. I have taught several foreigners during the time that I have lived in Buenos Aires, I have also helped them to improve their pronunciation with conversation practices. My primary focus is on dialogue, since this way I can establish both the level of vocabulary and the interests of the student, and from there, I can assign particular resources to such student. If I find flaws at any point, we will reinforce knowledge through exercises and practice. My approach to language learning is very interactive; learning with someone and having visual resources that are interesting to you is the ideal method, this helps your brain to keep information for the long-term more easily.
