Nessma Hassan

Nessma helps me so much to speak the Egyptian Arabic language and to really hone in on the concepts that I don't understand well so that I can make the correction and use the phrase or sentence structure correctly the next time. It has been such an amazing experience working with her for over a year. Her grace and understanding and patience when I sometimes ask her to explain the same concept over again is astounding. She understands English exceptionally well and always tries to convey what the Arabic meaning would be in English so that it can be contextualized for my understanding. She truly is the best Arabic teacher I've ever had and am so privileged that I can learn from her multiple times a week.

Nessma is a brilliant, engaging, well-organised and supportive teacher. Her English is perfect, and her learning resources are super helpful. I look forward to continuing my learning with her.

Nessma helped me to speak about everyday life including how to teach and things like different levels in education. We also talked about immigrants and the different vocabulary associated with that. It was very helpful speech about things that occur regularly and I'm excited to learn about feelings, as Nessma suggested we work on next time.

I took about 10 Arabic lessons with Nessma before going on vacation to Egypt. Nessma is an amazing teacher! She is kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and really goes above and beyond for her students. She customized the lessons to exactly what I needed to know for my trip. I would recommend her to anyone. 'Alfi shukr Nessma!

Nessma taught me some expressions with feelings today and it was very interesting. She actually answered some questions I already had and was going to ask her at some point, so I know she is very diligent in finding the frequent vocabulary and grammatical structures that I'm going to need in everyday speech and she likes to teach me these things. I know I am going to learn so much in this series, while she teaches me more about emotions and feelings every week and discusses these things with me in Arabic.

Nessma helped me to understand many concepts and words from the Kallimni Arabi book and it was very informative. Every time we have a lesson I feel more and more confident speaking Arabic in the Egyptian dialect and feel like I could speak with others even if they did not speak English. This is a great feeling and I can't wait to learn more with Nessma!
