This was my first Chinese lesson and I throughly enjoy it. He was patient and answered my many questions. I feel I got a lot out of the lesson and I will book more appointments.

I had another great lesson with Jason about International Relations in Chinese. He uses great material to discuss and is ready to adapt to my requests. We generally read a text or watch a video and then discuss it together. I am learning so many specific terms and would definitely recommend studying with him!

I have completed 2 full classes along with a trial class and I'm happy to recommend Depeng (Jason). Class materials we are using are from the HSK 5 Standard Textbooks and Workbooks. Classes are a blend of English and Chinese, but mostly Chinese (I try to use as much Chinese and ask in English for more minute details, or if really don't comprehend the Chinese explanations etc). Depeng sent materials in advance of the class which was helpful and efficient in that it allows me to have my questions ready in advance of the class, as opposed to looking up vocabulary during the class which would be a waste of time, money and resources. Classes are relaxed. In terms of class outcomes - I was able to discuss points such as the difference between similar words or phrases (e.g. 偷 tou and 抢 qiang), and wider comprehension issues in articles, such as assumptions or cultural understandings that weren't obvious to me as a non-native speaker. Again, happy to recommend!
