I really enjoy Lena's teaching style. She prepared for our discussion all about going to the airport and we did role play through different scenarios. She lets me pick the topics for my trip. I highly recommend her.

I’ve really loved working with Lina. She's incredibly encouraging (her background working with kids probably helps) and always makes me feel so motivated and excited to come to class and proud of my progress. She gives me time to finish each thought, which has helped me feel much more confident speaking. After I’m done, she goes back and clearly explains my mistakes so I understand how to improve. She’s also gone above and beyond outside of class to help me with writing, vocabulary, and grammar whenever I’ve had questions. Definitely take a class with her, you won't regret it!!

I have been studying Mandarin with Lina for four years and am giving feedback for the first time. She is a very patient, genuinely friendly, and open-minded teacher, and I felt comfortable with her from the very beginning. She speaks very little English, so having some basic knowledge of Chinese is helpful in order to follow the lessons well. Lina is always well prepared and takes her role as a teacher very seriously. She is also timely and flexible, which makes scheduling easy. At times, I struggled with concentration, and she patiently repeated things when needed, always without making me feel uncomfortable or pressured. She remained focused and supportive throughout the lessons, which I truly appreciate. She may not be the perfect fit for everyone, as learning needs can differ, but in my case the match has been very good, and I am still studying with her regularly today.

Lina is such a patient Chinese teacher. She gives clear explanations and corrections of grammar, and always makes the effort to explain things to me using simple Chinese instead of switching to English. My favorite teacher on italki!
