Hello! My name is Joel MJ. I am a native French speaker from the Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa) and currently living in Cedar Falls, USA. I have over 6 years of teaching experience, specializing in preparing students for exams such as DELF, TCF, TEF, and TEFAQ, with a strong student success rate. I offer customized, well-structured, and engaging lessons tailored to your goals and current level. I had my first lesson with Joel for Lingala. He is very personable, so we had a very relaxed lesson, yet still effective, and I learned things I hadn't read about in the meager learning resources available that exist for Lingala in English. Of course as a native Lingala speaker, Joel helped me with my intonation and stress when pronouncing words, correcting me to help me achieve a more native sound (albeit I'm far from it now). I plan to continue my Lingala studies with Joel, who I believe can help me achieve my goals in the language.
