Ann D

I find lessons with Ann very enjoyable and I always learn something to try and improve my German. We review and discuss texts, but also have a conversation about what I have been doing, the weather and other topics. Ann sets me homework, which I send her before my next lesson. We go through this in the lesson to correct my mistakes and understand why I have made the error. Ann is herself learning a new language and so has insight into how challenging learning and using a new language can be. I am very happy to recommend Ann to anyone wishing to learn and/or improve their German.

I cannot recommend Ann D. highly enough! Every lesson is thoughtfully prepared, engaging, fun, and productive. I like that the lesson time can be very structured or very relaxed depending on the learning goal, and I appreciate how flexible Ann always is when it comes to impromptu changes for whatever material we are working on. I have never been bored with a lesson and always feel like I have my own world-class private tutor. Ann is extremely supportive and patient, and her devotion to teaching the language is evident from the very first lesson, and never diminishes. (I've done over 100 lessons with her, so I know!) Ann is an absolute force that you'll want on your side as you are learning German.

Lessons with Ann are very enjoyable. We usually start the lesson by having a conversation about how life is going, the weather, etc. Then we review my homework and Ann sends me the corrected version. Then we usually look at some new text and from this Ann will set some homework. I definitely learn new words, phrases or grammatical points in my lessons with Ann.

Ann is a wonderful German teacher. She is super friendly, patient, and warm. I always look forward to my lesson and have a lot of fun learning new vocabulary. She makes me feel comfortable making mistakes and I never feel bad if I don’t know something. I’m very grateful to have a teacher like Ann!

I had a great class with Ann. I already knew her as a student, and I had no doubt that she was the perfect teacher to train my German and keep the language alive. She immediately understood what I needed. We had a lovely conversation and a final review with feedback, explanations, comments and advice. I really look forward to our next lesson!
