Hello, My name is Yu. Please feel free to call me Yu, Yu-chan or Yu-san. I am also looking forward to hearing some new nicknames! I was born and raised in Wakayama, Japan. I left Japan in 2014 to live in Canada, then I moved to the UK in 2018. I have worked in many industries included teaching English to children, working as a dental hygienist, a sushi chef and a beauty therapist, also other interesting jobs. In my free time, I like watching movies, anime, and dramas. I love eating, traveling, golf and yoga! I would like to help you with Japanese.

I've done both conversation classes and Genki II classes with Yuu for a long time, and they've always been excellent. I strongly recommend Yuu as a teacher!

I had a great lesson with Yu! The conversation felt like carving up with a friend, while improving my Japanese. It is especially helpful that she writes in the chat during the lesson, so I'm able to improve my weak points afterwards.

I have been working with Yu for several months now, and I cannot recommend her enough! She has been so supportive and kind since day one, and makes learning Japanese such a wonderful, positive experience. I will definitely continue learning with her.
