Lera

I’ve been taking Russian lessons with Lera on italki and she’s amazing! She explains everything in such a clear, friendly way that even the tricky parts of the language start to make sense. Our lessons are always fun and relaxed, but I still feel like I’m learning a lot every time. What I really love is how she adapts the lessons to what I need. Whether we’re chatting, practicing grammar, or working on pronunciation, she always knows how to keep things interesting and motivating. She’s patient, supportive, and always brings such positive energy to the class. Thanks to her, I feel much more confident speaking Russian, and I actually look forward to every lesson. If you’re thinking about learning Russian, I can’t recommend Lera enough — she’s fantastic!

I always look forward to my lessons with Lera. She is a phenomenal teacher, and her classes are never boring. We discuss interesting themes that she selects while she adds comments and corrections to the chat. I find her diction easy to understand without feeling like she's oversimplifying her sentence structure or speaking unnaturally slowly.

Lera excels at clear and articulate speech that's graded to her partner's level. What's more, her questions are generally thought-provoking and meaningful, not trite or tedious. Mistakes are encouraged, feedback is constructive and immediate, and the overall atmosphere is genuinely motivating.

I love my lessons with Lera! I think she's a really good, kind, and patient teacher that does her best to help her students and is willing to be flexible. She makes an effort to find or create material that I ask for like grammar exercises or easy stories, which I really appreciate.
